Take the stress out of the college admissions process with Gateway Educational Consulting. The decisions of choosing the right college, a major, a career—all of this can be quite daunting. As a former high school counselor and teacher with 30+ years of experience, I offer personality inventories, career and major exploration, college research information, and admissions assistance to help students reach their goals. I advise the students personally and honestly to tailor an experience that best suits the student. The counseling is online, and students will receive one-on-one assistance throughout this journey.
What exactly is "Comprehensive College Counseling"? Simply put, it means I offer a wide range of services to support students (and often their families) throughout the college preparation process, including:
-Helping students explore potential careers and college majors
-Assisting with high school curriculum planning
-Offering guidance on extracurricular and community service activities
-Researching colleges and universities to create a customized list of schools to apply to
-Supporting students with every aspect of the application process, from selecting standardized tests to drafting short responses and writing college essays
-Educating students and parents about standardized testing and financial aid
-Teaching time management and organizational skills
-Helping students and families make well-informed decisions when reviewing college admission offers and financial aid packages

Comprehensive Application Review:
To review your ACT/SAT scores, transcript, volunteer experiences, extra-curricular activities, and jobs or internships you have held.
Help the student understand what is important to put on the application and how to avoid redundancy
Review the student’s activities and help them to decide what to highlight on the application
Generate ideas to include important details for the greatest impact
